Don't you just love it when well meaning Christians say that God can't or won't do this or that because...........? It truly amazes me how arrogant Christians can be sometimes, to think that THEY know the mind of God. It always seems to be that according to them, it's always the sinner's fault that he can't find deliverance, be healed, or whatever. I ran into this quite a bit as a fairly young Christian when the Charasmatic movement was in full swing. Let's see if I can remember what I was told were the reasons I couldn't seem to speak in tongues or experience the baptism of the Holy Spirit. 1) I didn't have enough faith. (always a popular reason when anything doesn't happen as a Christian thinks it should) 2) I was just too stubborn and wouldn't "let" it happen. 3) There was unconfessed sin in my life. 4) I was harboring ill will towards another person and I had to get that taken care of first. 5) I need to "prime the pump" by just forcing myself to speak gibberish, and it will turn into speaking in tongues. There were several other "reasons", but I seldom heard the reason I came to believe......God didn't want to work with me that way.

Cat, those other Chriatians don't have a clue as to why God doesn't take away your sexual desire for boys, and quite frankly, neither do I. I've prayed about that for many years, and have asked God that if there was something I should be doing or not doing to facilitate my deliverance, please show me. Since He has not delivered me from my desires, I have to assume that He wants me to learn to live with it. I'm not perfect, and so I am not discounting the possibility that there mught be something I am missing in regards to facilitating my deliverance. But I have done and am doing the best I can and the best I know how to do. Beyond that, it's up to God to show me the way. So don't beat yourself up over this. Paul didn't beat himself up over HIS thorn.

BTW. What do you mean MAYBE scripture is right??????? Of course scripture is right. If it wasn't, what are we all doing here?
