So here is the word from many of my straight friends:

Anytime anyone says "God can't [fill in the blank]" where fill-in-the-blank has to do with human behavior, it shows the person doesn't know what he is talking about.

It IS true that God WON'T do a lot of things, in particular, God won't MAKE you love Him. But he COULD. To claim he cannot denies His omnipotence.

BTW, the above comments are not particularly related to YOUR situation, I'm speaking in general terms.
