It's important to keep in mind that people like this are not the deceivers, they are the deceived. If this guy is leader of a movement, that means he has charisma and leadership abilities. Imagine what an asset to the kingdom he could be if he weren't deceived. Rather than take comfort in the knowledge that someone who has been deceived by the enemy will ultimately suffer for it, you should pray that he find the truth and use his abilities for good.

Matthew 5:43 You have heard that it was said, 'Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.' But I tell you: Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you.
