I would hope that my church would welcome him without any contract, since we don't bring out contracts for anyone else. Such contracts seem to border on conditional love, which we don't find in the Xcruptures.

Now, that's not to say that we'd invite him to teach children's Sundry school, should we be aware of any such conviction. But then, I don't think we'd allow a convicted embezzler to be treasurer either.
