There are several reasons why we are called this. This is not our name for other people. We do have to keep in mind this forum is public but it is not for the public it is for Christian Boylovers.
This forum is eight years old. It was started by several people most of whom are not very active here anymore because they have movied onto other projects. Once before this forum existed there was a subboard of Boychat called Religious Debate Chat. The problem with that forum was that it always became a fight wether BLs could be Christians so it was very hard for Christian BLs to get any help when always involved in that debate. Several people from that forum decided to start their own forum to make a place where we could congregate on our own. Open to others to debate us on our faith but essentially as a place for us to be here for each other.

Hence our forum was founded in the cultural context of a 2yr old Boychat (which is 10yrs old) and the cultural context of the online boylove community in general. We are not an isolated website we are one among many although we are the only English speaking Christian Boylove forum that I know of, I've never even seen a Girlove Christian site. In this respect we are unique.

We call ourselves Boylovers because that is what most people in our community use to designate us. Similar to how other minority cultural groups have their own words or use some word differently than others will. I might jokingly call a friend a perv, it is not an insult. Some people prefer other terms such as pedophile or Minor Attracted Adult (MAA). These terms have different connotations but pretty similar denotative meanings.

Because we ARE boylovers. I have always been a BL and always will be. Nothing has changed this for me or anyone else and unless something changes nothign will. We have had a few people come here and tell me they were once BLs but are not anymore. Usually after much questioning they end up being liars and really just repressing their BL side. Other times they don't stick around to tell us much about it so are probably not genuine. Hence having any of these titles to our website would not be truthful.

Being a Christian and loving someone, no matter who is never a bad thing. Like Deliverance said once love starts doing harmful things it is not love, it is jealousy or hate or nager or something. Jesus IS ok with me loving people, boys and anyone else. Notice you said nothgin about sex so whatever.
