If it wasn't for this board... I'd most likely be dead.
I was suicidal when I came here just over 6 months ago.

Now I'm standing strong... feeling well supported... and overcoming.

I come and read this board... instead of cruisning the net for less healthy things to look at.

Overall CBLF has been a GODSEND into my life. I believe strongly in this ministry. I beleive God is using it.

Is boy love a sin?
Well boy love is not just one thing is it. Its a whole mixture of things.

and in my oppinion sin is what happens when we take something good into a bad place.

For instance sexual desire is not a sin...its a good healthy wonderful part of God's creation... but if I sexually desire something inappropriate then it becomes sinful.

I want to be friends with boys... I think they are wonderful... I think they are beautiful... these are good things... nothing sinful about them. However, there is a blurry line between when I admire them as the wonderful creations they are and when I start sexualising it. At some point in there sin creeps in and tempts me to take a good thing and make it bad. I think that in as much as our boy love (or girl love or man love or woman love as the case may be) is pure and holy then its a good thing ... when it becomes tainted by sin... then the sinful parts are bad... but the presence of sin does not stop the good parts being good.

Only by grace and fellowship can we overcome these sinful taints in our otherwise loving and godly lives.

and in that respect I speak to your last point.... to me, all this arguing... it is not worth anything (I'm not saying everyone here is arguing). What is it worth in the long run?
I refer you to Eccl 12 9 Not only was the Teacher wise, but also he imparted knowledge to the people. He pondered and searched out and set in order many proverbs. 10 The Teacher searched to find just the right words, and what he wrote was upright and true.
11 The words of the wise are like goads, their collected sayings like firmly embedded nails—given by one Shepherd. 12 Be warned, my son, of anything in addition to them.
Of making many books there is no end, and much study wearies the body.

yeah the postings here often go over the same ground... making many books ... but really we are searching out and setting in order many proverbs for the Minor Attracted of our little community. Hopefully the wisdom discovered here will be like firmly embedded nails... keeping us just where God would have us to be.
