Let me first ask what you are meaning when you say BL. Not just you but what you percieve this whole board to view it as...
A person who loves boys and is sexually attracted to them. the Bible...you know, that book you have yet to give ANY refrence to your own "beliefs" (Because that is what you are saying right? That you believe in Jesus) says that he died for your sins and rose from the grave. And under this blood that he shed for you...you believe that he allows BL? Correct me when I am wrong... BL is not an action. God isn't concerned over what your temptations are, he is concerned over whether you will choose to overcome them or not. The fact I am sexually attracted to boys does not bother God, it only bothers him if I act on those desires (mentally or physically). The bible never condemns temptations, in fact, Jesus himself was tempted. What the bible condemns is giving in to those temptations. I believe, as most Christians do, that this passage instructs us that we should obey the law of the land unless it is in direct conflict with his teachings. Understand? Just because the Bible does not say we should not go 55 in a 45 does not give us permission to speed. And there are strick laws that apply to age of consent. Yes? Sure, but for the most part those of us who believe it is not sinful to have sex with boys don't do so because of what you just described. Those who believe that way, however, may engage in activism in an attempt to change the laws to make it ok. Are you of the opinion that activism to change laws are sinful? Is it possible that he has given you insight to yourself in order to seek help? He doesn't just cure the alcoholics, drug users etc. He does provide help to them if they so choose. Seek help from where? Psychological treatment for pedophilia is based on giving pedophiles the tools necessary to keep from acting on their orientation. Psychology doesn't try to change a pedophile's sexual orientation because no method of changing anyone's orientation has ever been found. Those of us who have no problem keeping ourselves from acting on our attraction would not benefit in any way from therapy. Thus, the only way we might change is through divine intervention. I doubt anyone here has forbidden God from changing them. In fact, I'd be willing to bet that most of us would welcome change. If God wants to change anyone, he will in his own time. The phrase "Putting Jesus in a box" is exactly as you have described. You look at the Bible and say...I like this part of Jesus and don't like this part of Jesus, and add this part of Jesus (that is made up) and then hold up this Mattel version of your Jesus...complete with the plastic covering. You've yet to show any examples of how anyone here has done that. |
