Lol, man, I'm pretty sure that if the board keeps going at this rate this place'll burn down! I'm pretty sure this is the most action this place has seen in quite a while! Definitely NOT a slow response :P

Haha, very nice - I'm flattered at ur new approach at addressing us ;) Ah yes, the mystery of our attraction. Like I said before - it completely beats me! But one thing here (I'll elaborate a bit on Godspell) is that you assume that societal whims (what society "deems") are considered correct. I would have most definitely disagree with you here. I could list off a whole list of things that society has "deemed" to be one way, when now we now accept the opposite as being correct. It just gets depressing after a while of looking at societies screw-ups, but a few include the role of women, all the way back to old ideas of what the universe was like. All were socially accepted, believed AND ENFORCED !

Now, I'm not saying that I condone pedophilic actions (even in a world where it was societally accepted - ancient rome - I am still unsure of how I would feel), but I would definitely not base a conclusion off of the whims of society. Also, I do not believe that the simple attraction to minors is wrong. I simply can't. I can't find anything to base it off of that is actually solid (the bible doesn't say anything against attraction to minors - its arguable about the sex thing, but that is totally off topic).

Thus, I can only conclude that the ones who are unwise in this situation are those who base ultimate right and wrongness on what society says. Now, it is DEFINITELY wrong to have a relationship with a minor outside of friendship in MY opinion in this society because of the negative reprocusions on the both of you. But as far as attraction ... got nothin.

Got your back in this one! I totally think that is wrong. Once again I will bring up my own situation. My slightly older cousin during a certain stage liked to "play" with me, even though most times I never wanted to. It didn't hurt me, and we didn't have any form of sex or anything, but I still feel like even that was taking advantage of me. Thus, I hope never to do that to a child. Sometimes I wonder if I am taking advantage of a boy just through our friendship (he doesn't know that I actually love him), but then again, if no pressure is involved and he's free to leave, and he's also gaining something from it (even if it is just a few laughs), then I think it is ok.

Understandable. I don't think I could truly imagine how hard it would be to see things like we do, especially with the societal taboo surrounding it. But I think that is all we can ask, at this point atleast: that you now understand the need for this board and the purpose it serves, and that while you may not really understand the "subject matter" and have differing beliefs, you are not hostile towards it. I must say, you are probably one of the most mature people who is not a BL who I have talked about BL stuff with. Very enjoyable indeed!
