From time to time, non-BL boards "discover" (good) or engage in a "hostile invasion" (bad) BL boards or vice-versa. Both boylovers and non-boylovers are guilty of starting hostile actions.

I've seen it happen on your board, on a soap opera fan club board, on an "awful things on the Internet" board (not yours), on a computer-geek-technical board, and elsewhere over the years.

Usually you wind up with a large number of posters on both boards sticking with their entrenched positions and contributing either simple "this is what I believe" posts or starting/continuing flame wars.

A good number of posters on both boards usually engage in rational discussions. Minds are usually not changed but those willing to talk intellectually usually soften their positions if ever so slightly. Learning to see the world through others' eyes is almost always a good thing.

Sometimes, one or more people becomes a long-term "friendly" poster on the other board. This is a very good thing when it happens.
