You may not be molesting these so-called "young friends," but that doesn't matter--the fact that you acknowledge that the unhealthy attraction is there makes it unsafe for them to be with you.

Maybe maybe not.

Some recovering alcoholics should never be in a bar.

Others make the best bartenders.

The health of a sexual attraction comes from how it affects you and others. If it drives you to "do right by a person" it can be very healthy. If it depresses you or temps you do do wrong by a person then it can be destructive.

Being attracted to kids is no more unhealthy than being attracted to a married woman - both are very off-limits and if acted upon in the wrong way are likely to get you shot by the parent or the jilted spouse. If acted on in the right way it can lead to a better life for everyone involved.
