I'm sorry if you can't recognize this poster as one who has been lurking here for months or years, occasionally popping in to post a derogatory comment aimed at a regular here. His opinion of us is not going to change, no matter how nicey nice we are to him. There comes a time when someone just needs to be told off. And if the way CSL did it upsets your idea of what a Christian should or should not say, well that is regretable, but is ultimately between the poster and God, not between the poster and you. Unless, of course, you wish to lay down some rules as to what can and can't be said here, in which case the rules should be followed.
I'm sorry if you found the way CSL expressed himself offensive. But let me tell you what I found offensive. It was that you called his character into question after he gave an honest reaction to a verbal attack on a brother in Christ. Then you darn near apologized for him because of his choice of language basically trying to mollify a lurker/troll at the expense of a regular. After that, you proceeded to imply that you spoke for the majority here. Just who do you think you are anyway? Let the posters speak for themselves, and then the reader can decide what the majority thinks by what is posted. As a minor side note, I also didn't appreciate bad language being equated with trailer parks. I used to live in one, and there are probably others who have or are living in them. Dakota |
