I can think of II Corinthians 12. Paul had a thorn in his side and wanted God to take it away. HUAHHHHHHHH! (no not a literal thorn).

Some scholars think it was a sickness that Paul had; others think it was a part of his character, perhaps anger or something that Paul wanted to change. Paul used to kill Christains and maybe wanted to let that angry part of his life go. God said no, "My grace is sufficient for you... my power is made strong when you are weak."

I think that, like Paul, you may be asking God for something that he will not change about you. You must also realize that God used Paul as he was to share the Bible with the known world. He wrote 2/3 of the New Testiment. This from a guy who used to kill Christains.

I think you can be ok with how God made you. God's grace is that which will guide you if you let Him. God's grace is anything God will provide to you when you need it most. This may be a friend calling up to hang out with you when you are sad; I even think He offers us boymoments in those cases we are at our lowest point as BL's.

All this to say, let God's grace be your guide and not the desire to change what God probably won't. Does that mean he wants you to have an intimate relationship with your YF? Probably not.

I can tell you many passages that we have stated are arguably against that kind of same-sex relationship. The Biblical passage people might say supports BL is Luke 7, the story of the centurian. The servant the centurian wants healed may have been a boy he was in love with. That too is arguable, and in the Greek culture, an intimate dominant and subordinaant relationship was common in many forms. This included man-boy, superior-subordinate male citizens , man-woman, etc. It wasn't so much about gender at that time, so it was written to a different culture and time.

Everyone knows about Romans 1 and what it says about homosexuality. That said, I'll avoid the arguement and share with you just one verse:

25They exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator—who is forever praised. Amen.

You see, the point of the passage is that you are FIRST worshiping GOD, the CREATOR and not CREATED THINGS, which includes other people. If you are worshiping your YF, God gives you over to sin. I told you about that staircase of sex. You go down a few steps and someone can pull you back. You go down to far, you fall. Stairs were not designed to be in the middle. Also, those that go on the staircase in the dark are also asking for trouble because you can't see. No, I'm not talking about having sex with the lights on; I'm talking about being in a realtionship with God your light, versus shunning him away, worshiping created things, and being in the DARK!

Let God's grace be your boat afloat. You need to be worshiping and talking with HIM. We can share with you all the advice and criticisms, and sometimes God talks through us. BUT, I hope you are also talking to Him, worshiping Him, and thusly, His grace is all you will need. God will use you as you are to help in His work, like he used Paul, as he was, thorn and all.

Keep well. Don't fall down the stairs, and don't forget your light.

Blessings,
Oliver
