Pedophilia is a disorder in the sense that it is a personality trait that can impair your ability to live a normal life. You shouldn't confuse this with a medical disorder which implies there is something wrong with the way your body is functioning. The pedophile brain functions just like everyone else's. There is no chemical imbalance or abnormality, thus there is no drug that can change you and there never will be.

Psychology is concerned with helping people live productive lives. Thus things that can impair your ability to live a productive life are labelled disorders. Homosexuality was once correctly labelled a disorder for this very reason. When society had changed to the point that homosexuality was acceptable, homosexuality was correctly removed from the list of paraphilias.

It's important to understand what psychology is and what it is not to understand why you will never find a cure for pedophilia. Simply stated, pedophilia is not a medical condition. Pedophilia is a personality trait that can negatively affect your ability to live a productive life and is therefore labelled a personality disorder. If pedophilia becomes acceptable in society some day, then it will no longer be considered a personality disorder.

There will never be a drug that cures pedophilia, because there is simply nothing wrong with you physically. Pedophilia is basically a social disorder. It's a sexual orientation that isn't acceptable by today's standards. There is nothing anyone can do to change you.

To directly answer your question; I have used SSRIs in the past. I went through a period of depression and SSRIs helped hold me over until I could resolve my issues and overcome my depression. Being on anti-depressants had no appreciable impact on any aspect of my sexuality. Coming off of them after having been on them for months, on the other hand, had a big impact. A side effect of these medications is they lower your sex drive. This isn't appreciable while you are on them, but when you get off them you feel like you're 15 again.
