I have always felt that our western society separates kids from their families and the number one weapon of mass destruction is school.
School gives kids a huge education but it don't come from the teachers... it comes from their peers. Don't get me started on that subject. My own experience with my kids is that peer education when it comes to maters of sex is not very Godly... not only this it encourages kids NOT to talk to their parents. anyway... I agree it is the job of the father to teach this stuff to the kids. I have tried to teach my kids... tried to be open with them and be able to talk about anything with them... they get embarrased... but overall I think they are glad of it and the more mature they get the more open they become. I like the idea of churches educating parents and families... its part of their job I beleive. But the generation gaps (created by the separateness of our social structure) make sharing this stuff as a group very difficult. Godbless your efforts Pitir. Cat. ![]() |
