Ah, I see what you are saying, however I must hold to my original statement that Christ did in fact become the ultimate sacrafice for our sins, and that death is not necessarily our penalty anymore.

Still, we do reap what we sow. Gal 6:7-10 - Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. The one who sows to please his sinful nature, from that nature will reap destruction; the one who sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life. Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers"

The big question is, where is our heart? Do we desire to please the Spirit, or do we desire to please the flesh?

"If I heard a hetro guy say he was "put here to love women... that he was wired for the job"... well I'd be suspicious. I'd think that his sexual motivation was a bit ... well... more in control than he might be admitting."

I think this analogy is overused It seems to be an easy fix-all answer to many issues we face. What about guys who decide to become social workers or counselors? They may in fact be wired for the job.

"I will admit that my affinity for boys is as much about me wanting to "be" one as "have" one. A significant difference between me and a hetro guy I'm sure. Still... is that really my calling? to be a gift to kids? I don't know."

I guess this is one area where you and I are different. I have no desire to "be" a boy. One of my biggest draws to them is that they are real - they don't carry the masks that adults do. They don't play silly social games. WYSIWYG. I find that extremely refreshing with my personality. Also, I have about ten times as much energy as other people my age. Adults find that annoying. Kids seem to relate to it.

Cat, I'm just trying to be an encouragement to you. I'm looking for answers too.
