I think what newgeorge said about grief was great.

I just encourage you like this... you don't want to move on from this yf... but don't spend the next few years of your waiting doing nothing but waiting.

Fill them up with as much life and friendship as you can.

If all you do is grieve for the next few years... you won't be in much of a healthy state to reestablish things with your yf when the time comes.

If on the other hand you do your grieving AND get out and live life, make friends, enjoy things as best you can... then, when the time comes to try and reconnect with your yf, you'll potentially be a happy, healthy and emotionally stable person... which has to be better for both of you.

Trust me... the time will go past quickly.
