Lots of people are dubious about prayer these days, but I have so much faith in it that I feel guilty about doing it sometimes. It seems like cheating, to get God to solve the problem instead of doing something about it yourself. Often I realize that actually, the matter I'm thinking about can't be much influenced by my efforts, and I really should call on the Lord. But you know, I still feel a little guilty tugging on his sleeve.
