"There Will Be Blood"? It a pretty interesting movie. There is a mute boy who eventually loses his hearing. His relationship with his father is... well, not that great. He is only a boy for part of the movie, as the time jumps forward several years, but it's the relationship between father and son that is so heartbreaking. Anyway, interesting movie it is.
