here we go. attempt #1:

XX
Inside
and outside
the wailing flesh of time
I recognize the song
that snuffed the narrow threshhold
of that loved

Against all lives
we must move so feral
and so tight

And fresh astonishment relies
on lost memories flushed down

The sound of falling leaves ignites

I WAS A BOY
when we met but I’m still
still? the same
insane? no (YES!) but so much better
than before

puppydog’s pout
dead roses by the pounds
and I could not help but make you run
and smile all the way

XX
after all is said and done
more is said than anything else
the stale memory of grass
stains imaginary shirts

i was there with you
drying the ocean and
cooling the sun

YOU
What is joy?
I don't know, I've never had it.
I've been so bad at it,
since a little boy.
But I'm starting to learn
that feeling that burns
without ashes.
You lit all the matches.

XX
I want to softly kiss your eyes,
that mesmerize
my senses.

Sleep entwined and feel your warm sighs,
like long goodbyes.
Dream dances.

CHILLY DAYS, HOT DAYS
and through and through
huff and puff
blow your nose.
simmering shoelaces
itchy arms
shivering traces
running alarms.

POEM FOR THE NEW, POEM FOR THE OLD
there you are in frozen image
there we are in the sunrise crackup rises
so old
and so rejuvenating

my eyes growing larger
you growing older by the laughter of
the quiet in the night

the street is open dark across
our dreams rejected
open through the rain of summer
every glance across the room

every dark day every morning so
ear to ear
christmas birthday firework smile

in every corner of
our eyes against a pale background

XX
if I ever pass from this world into the next
and you possess my orgadisedisorganizedthoughts
then
I need you to really know that
I love or loved or something like that you but stronger than
a thousand horses pulling a spec of dust.
or something like that.
I wanted to be inside and outside and all around and everywhere else you.
except I couldn’t so I cried and cried and led a miserable time of a time.
bur cheer up. it was MY life and I was a bit too whatstheword
but anyway
I just wanted to say.

XX
It’s all over then.
The dreamy worlds sung.
My loathe heart.
Our Dog loves.

XX
the forgotten
newborn star
the snow without its angels

the whisper undefined

sheesh! it just dawned on me that most of my poems are sad (it seems my creative juices get stirred better that way)...I gotta work on that.
