God is and so love is. it wasnt just not invented it never was not. but the trouble with my saying 'it' is that there cannot be love without a face either . . . . God cannot be love without another to love and we misunderstand love even more when we use the word 'love' as a noun instead of a verb because love is always an action even when there is no movement. I suppose this is why we perceive of God as trinity.
perhaps every kind of love that we understand and 'feel' is a kind of imitation of the love that is of God which is why it makes it even harder for us to conceive of how God loves: we have so many wrong images of it to start with and our only way into the presence of God Himself is for each of these wrong images to die within us until there is only the real love left: God Himself. . . .
which makes me think that one of the very problems with the word God is that this is a noun as well and perhaps God should not even be a noun.
