Thanksgiving is the holiday of thanks. duh... :P

The story goes that after the survival of the Plymouth Colony through a harsh winter, there was a proclamation of thanksgiving after the harvest. And somewhere down the line President Washington made it an official holiday.

Now, most people go and spend the day with family while feasting on large amounts of turkey, ham, dressing, bread, green beans, mashed potatoes, mac and cheese, pumpkin pies, apple pies, chocolate pies, pecan pies, and.... well, I guess you get the point.
